Digital stroboscope can appear to slow down fast periodic motions for a bystander. This is why stroboscopes are great for the physics classroom or calibrating revolutions from a device such as a motor. The indense xenon lamp emits a burst of light which can be synchronised with a particular target (sometimes to make something appear still, or to take a frequency measurement, etc). This high quality unit uses an internal microcontroller as the processing unit with built in display chip. The controller drives a 7 segment LED to present realtime flashing frequency data. One of the most popular demonstrations to do with this device is the required practical standing waves on a string.
